WALSINGHAM PILGRIMAGE 2020: Monday 18th May 2020. 3 nights 4 days. Cost £499 (plus £49 single supplement) also entrance fees e.g. Sandringham and gratuities are not included, nor insurance. The deposit of £75 pp is payable by 31st December. We need to know definite numbers as soon as possible, and no later than 1st December. – please contact Pat Hanks on (01460) 62338. Places are limited! PARISH GIFT AID SCHEME: Parishioners who donate by standing order have been previously advised of a change. Future payments will be directed to the Parish Bank Account rather than via the Diocese. This will involve a change of destination for their payments. Margaret and Les Gilbert can no longer organise this because of other commitments. Are you able to take this over? If so, please contact the Parish Office as soon as possible. WEDNESDAY 13th November: Deanery Mass at 1.00pm, English Martyrs Church, to be celebrated for all the deceased priests of the Diocese. Mass will be followed by a “Bring and Share” lunch. ALL WHO LIKE SINGING Anyone who would like to help lead the carols at this year's Carol Service, please come to Chard for a short practice, after 9.30 Mass on Saturday 16th November. Children are particularly welcome. The Carol Service will be at 3.p.m. on Sunday 22nd December. COFFEE IN CREWKERNE: Next Coffee morning is on Sunday, 17th November after the 9am Mass, we hope you will come and share it with us. So as not to inconvenience the Methodist congregation, it would be helpful if as many people as possible could use alternative parking. Ursula & Roy Jones invite you to join them for drinks and nibbles in the Parish Hall after the 11.00am Mass on Sunday 8th December, to celebrate Ursula’s 80th Birthday. Film Night:The next FILM NIGHT is on Friday, 22nd November. Please see church notice boards for full details. CELEBRATING A MILESTONE! Fr. Dominic’s 50th Birthday is on Thursday, 5th December, all parishioners are invited to a Celebratory Party and Buffet Supper in the Hall at 7pm. We request your help with the buffet; if you are able, please bring a plate of bite-sized food to share. To aid menu-planning kindly indicate on the list at the back of the church what item(s) you will bring on the day.

SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY : our active SVP Group meet on the third Monday of each month in Chard (Next Meeting 18th November). The Group welcomes new members - please contact Adrian Quinn (72852) PRAYER GROUPS: The Prayer Group in Chard meets either on a Friday or Saturday afternoon at 5pm in various houses. PRAYER & EXPOSITION In our prayers this week we remember the people and priest of St. John the Evangelist, Bath. The Holy Father’s prayer intentions for November: Universal – “That a spirit of dialogue, encounter and reconciliation emerge in the Near East, where diverse religious communities share their lives together.” In our own Parish, we pray for all parishioners and visitors; for those unable to be with us today, the sick and the housebound and those who care for them, and all who have asked for our prayers, all who have died recently, and all those whose anniversaries occur at this time. May they rest in peace. CHRISTMAS HAMPER DRAW 2019 Hundreds of ££££ worth of prizes! Tickets are going very fast! ALL Ticket stubs unsold books of tickets, money and Hamper donations should be handed in at any of our three churches as soon as possible, and no later than Sunday 1st December.
