The Holy Father’s prayer intentions for October: Evangelisation – “That the breath of the Holy Spirit engender a new missionary ‘Spring’ in the Church Prisons Week: 13th to 19th October is a Week of Prayer for Prisoners and their Families. Today we pray: “Lord, you offer freedom to all people. We pray for those in prison. Break the bonds of fear and isolation that exist. Support with your love prisoners and their families and friends, prison staff, and all who care.” In our own Parish, we pray for all parishioners and visitors; for those who are unable to be with us today, the sick and the housebound and those who care for them, and all who have asked for our prayers, all who have died recently, and all those whose anniversaries occur at this time. May they rest in peace.
