Crewkerne is 8 miles from Chard, while Ilminster is 5 miles from both. English Martyrs, East Street, Chard, St Peter, South Street, Crewkerne. St Joseph, Station Road, Ilminster. The parishes with which it shares boundaries are Taunton (17 miles to the north from Chard and 12 from Ilminster) and Yeovil (16 miles to the east from Chard and 8 from Crewkerne) in the Clifton Diocese; and Beaminster  (16 miles to the south from Chard    and 8 from Crewkerne) and Honiton (16 miles to the west from Chard) both in the Plymouth Diocese. Yeovil serves a church in South Petherton (5 miles equidistant from Crewkerne and Ilminster). A Parish in the Glastonbury Deanery, in the Diocese of Clifton.
